Madrasah Al Farouq is looking for a highly motivated person who can continue the development of Madrasah Al Farouq by supporting the administration of the Madrasah. It would be beneficial if applicants have experience being the first point of contact and have experience in supporting organisational growth. The applicant should be able to coordinate activities taking place in the Madrasah, including distributing correspondence and taking questions face-to-face or electronically.
The Madrasah has a number of daily, weekly and monthly duties that will need to be managed. These include but are not limited to: data entry, fees collection, printing, scheduling training, etc.
Hours of employment: 2.5 hours per day (5:30 to 8:00), Monday to Friday.
Successful candidate may be asked to work outside of these hours.
1. Qualifications & Requirements:
- Preferable but not essential that the candidate has traditional Islamic education to Alim level.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and dedicated to the spiritual and educational development of students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students and the community in a positive, respectful manner.
- Have good IT skills and be proficient in Excel and Word.
- Must live locally or be able to travel to the masjid.
2. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Managing register and calling parents for late/absent children.
- Key point of contact for teachers and distributing to relevant department leads.
- Preparation for exams, Jalsa, admissions, and coordinating parents’ evenings.
- Printing, distribution, and administration of registers and other time-related material.
- Collection and management of fees.
- Any other Anjuman-related administration duties as and when required.
3. Ramadan Responsibilities:
- Administer student Tarawih, work with Hifz class teachers and the Taleemi Board to create structured Tarawih classes. Offer guidance and encouragement to students.
- Organise pre-Ramadhan training.
4. General:
- To adopt the Madrasah’s health and safety and risk management policies and to attend any relevant training.
- To adopt the Madrasah’s child protection policy and to attend any relevant training.
- To adopt the Madrasah’s anti-bullying policy and to attend any relevant training.
- To remain on Madrasah grounds as long as it is necessary to maintain child safety.
- To undertake any additional duties the Madrasah deems important for the safety of the children.
- To demonstrate a continual positive commitment to the Madrasah’s policies, including those relating to safeguarding children, health and safety, and equal opportunities.
- To demonstrate a positive attitude towards attending classes/courses organised for the development of teachers such as class management, safeguarding, Tajweed improvement, etc.
Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance and references.
The position will be reviewed periodically and changes to duties may take place after consultation with the employee, principals, and where appropriate, the managing committee.
