Bringing Eid Joy to Children in Hospital

Posted By Dr Ali Sidat

During the blessed month of Ramadan, the Masjid Al Farouq community came together to support a small but meaningful cause, bringing a bit of joy to children spending Eid in hospital.

With the generosity of our congregation, we raised over £800, delivering over 100 gifts, and were able to put together a wide range of toys and games, all carefully chosen to bring comfort and happiness to young patients. These gifts were donated to children at Royal Wolverhampton New Cross Hospital and Walsall Manor Hospital, where many are spending time away from home, their families, and their normal routines.

Eid is a time of celebration, but for children in hospital it can feel very different. Being unwell and away from loved ones is never easy, so it meant a great deal to be able to share even a small part of that joy with them. The gifts were very warmly received, and it was truly heartening to hear how much they were appreciated and how many smiles they brought.

This effort was a real example of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared intention to do good. From those who donated, to those who helped organise and deliver the gifts, every contribution played a part.

A sincere thank you to everyone who supported this initiative. May Allah accept your efforts, reward your generosity, and continue to unite us in acts of kindness and compassion for those in need.
